The difference between us and animals

Good morning on this beautiful sunny October morning here in Ceredigion, West Wales.

Have you ever considered the difference between us and animals?

Some people would answer with tongue in cheek, 'very little', which might well be the case, especially if you allow the press and the media to influence you daily in a negative way!

If you make it your daily ritual to watch the news on television, read the newspaper, be it the sun, daily mail or the times, keep up to date with your favourite soap such as eastenders, the chances are you will be full of gloom and doom.

I have a magnet on my fridge which says 'the more people I meet the more I love my dog', especially given how negative and depressing a high percentage of people can be!

However the major difference is that we as humans, have that unique ability to choose our thoughts at any given moment. So surely it makes sense for you and I to choose to think pleasant thoughts, and not to allow any negative thoughts into the temple of your mind. By doing this you increase your chances of experiencing good health, happiness, success and wealth.

Make it your goal today to take control of your mind, from this minute onwards and only think pleasant thoughts from now on.

Try it for a month regardless of how skeptical you might be and observe the difference.

Alternatively you can continue to exist in the doom and gloom environment, courtesy of the sun and daily mail, the bbc news service and your daily dose of eastenders and emmerdale.

Unlike your cat or dog the choice is yours.

Enjoy the rest of the day and think pleasant thoughts,

Best regards,

Aled

Creative Visualization

It's quite often a subject or statement that scares people and is considered somewhat weird and mysterious, the province of people regarded as a little mad!

But the fascinating thing is that it is in no way new or strange to people. You are using creative visualization every day and indeed every minute!

It consists of your natural power of imagination which you use in an unconscious manner. Given all the negative influences in our daily lives, we are inclined to expect and imagine difficulties, limitation, lack and problems to be the order of the day. Therefore that is what we have created.

The secret is to use your natural creative imagination in a conscious manner to create what you truly want. It is the key to the natural goodness and bounty of life.

To practice creative visualization you use your imagination to create a clear image, idea, or feeling of something you wish to manifest (make it happen).

Continue to focus on this until it becomes objective reality.

Your goal may be on a physical, emotional, mental or spiritual level e.g.
a new home, satisfying relationship, handling difficult situation etc.

So what is the technique?
1. Relax into a deep, quiet, meditative state of mind, imagining that you are in your ideal situation or having attained your goal.
2.Include as many details as possible.
3. Get a feeling that it is possible and experience it as if it were already happening.
4.Repeat this simple excercise often.
5. Maintain your faith and belief that your dream or goal will be manifested soon.

It is of paramount importance that you have a burning desire to enrich your knowledge and experience and an open enough mind to try something new in a positive spirit.

Creative visualization is magic without a shadow of a doubt.

It is all about understanding and aligning yourself with the natural principles that govern the workings of our universe, and learning to use these principles in a creative way.

Once we learn and practice with underlying concepts, what at first might seem amazing or impossible to the very limited type of education or rational minds, becomes perfectly understandable.

Keep up your creative visualization and it will seem that you are working miracles in your life!

Best Regards,

Aled

Hereford Utd v Newcastle Utd 5 Feb 1972 (Hereford Utd Goals)

Great evidence of the power of faith, self belief and positive thinking when soccer was truly the beautiful game!

It is 1972 and Hereford from the then Southern League take on the mighty Newcastle United and their great supporters contemplating a dream come true.

Ronnie Radford and Ricky George deliver the goods and what a wonder goal from the dynamic Radford. Yes indeed dreams are possible with the right attitude. Your mind dictates whether or not you are successful. Think positive and believe in your self and your dreams!

Best of Luck,

Self Confidence Esteem

Welcome to my blog titled 'self confidence esteem'

The aim of this blog is to offer people support, advice and encouragement, as they face up to another day, where quite often they have to combat all the negative influences in this negative orientated world of ours.

My daily dose of 'words of wisdom' is designed to give people a boost of self help, self confidence and esteem, which will hopefully help them on their daily journey as they pit themselves against life's obstacles.

This idea was born from my personal experience of growing up in this often unsympathetic world and hostile environment, without any guidance as to how to take a positive optimistic outlook on life. Sadly lacking in terms of the social and psychological skills and attitudes required to succeed in life. Not only financially but spiritually and how to enjoy optimum health and to get the best out of life.

As most people, I thought that our much trumpeted education system would serve me well in adult life, but far from it! Just think for a moment about the effectiveness of our narrow minded education system and it's beneficial properties in terms of succeeding in the adult world.

Like many people who fail to get the right balance in life, I suffered within my job (just over broke!) resulting in stress, panic attacks and depression. Ultimately I had to give up my job and much to my dismay found that the support for people like myself suffering from mental health issues, was woefully inadequate. Basically you are cast upon the scrap heap of life. It's fine for the government to be so critical about the less fortunate in our society, but in reality how much are they doing in order to give such people hope for a better life. The likes of Blair and Brown and no doubt Cameron if he ever gets to the promised land of number 10, would rather wade in to Iraq and Afghanistan trying to sort out their problems and thus increasing their profile on the world stage!

For me hope came in the shape of self help and positive thinking material. I am indebted to my uncle Evan from Wallace in Victoria, Australia, who during a visit to the outback (no the government did not pack me on a boat to Botany Bay, as this practice concluded in the 1960's when vulnerable children were sent to Aus!)gave me a copy of the phenomenal book 'Psycho Cybernetics' by Maxwell Maltz. Having read this book my outlook on life began to change, as I thought about our mad world in a different light.

In later years I would return to this little gem of a book during my hour of need as I suffered panic attacks and depression. Just like a good healthy nourishing meal will give your body a boost several times a day, I discovered that we as human beings also need a daily diet of positive thinking, self help material. And no, surprise, surprise, you do net get this from reading your daily newspaper or watching the news on tv (which incidentally is 95% bad depressing news!)

It was uncanny how, by picking up a self help, positive thinking book each day and reading for maybe just half an hour to an hour, not only how uplifting it was, but how timely the information seemed and was just what you required at that moment in time, to help you deal with life's challenges.

This led me to think about helping other people by sharing some of the gems I had read that day or week with other like minded people. Why not call it 'pearls of wisdom'? and if it made other people feel just as well as I did, my mission would be accomplished.

Therefore I hope that you will enjoy my weekly update of 'words of wisdom'.

Bye for now and best of luck today,
